Industrial Filter Housing Horizontal Plate Pressure Filter For Chemical Industry ​​

1. Major structures of filter body

The main body of filter consists of filtration tank, screen, end-plate pullout device, automatic dreg discharging device, hydraulic station, etc.

a. Filter cylinder consists of cylinder, end plate and end plate locking device, etc. In between the pullout end-plate and flange of the cylinder there is rubber gasket for sealing. In side of the filter cylinder there are filter screen, collection pipe, outside of it there are feeding port, discharge port, steam nozzle, relieve nozzle, pressure gauge nozzle and safety valve nozzle, etc

b. The filter screen plate is the major component for the filter. It consists of multiple layers of stainless steel screens of different specification. In the middle there is a passage for the filtrate, at the outside there is frame. At the lower part of screen plate there is a nozzle for the discharge port which is inserted into the collection pipe, in between the nozzle and socket of collection pipe there is rubber “O” ring for sealing.

c. The end-plate pullout device consists of hydraulic cylinder, roller device, and vibration device. After the completion of filtration, the filter cake is blown dry from the steam nozzle, after the pressure is relieved from relief nozzle, the safety valve is opened, the locking device is released, and the valve for discharge port is opened

d. Discharge device

Upon the end plate of this filter there is vibration device.

The vibrator is composed of cylinder body and piston which can be move back and forth. Pressure regulator which fitted on the air inlet adjust the vibration frequent of the vibration, the proportion of vibration frequency and inlet pressure is direct, vibration uses the air pressure scope as 0.4-0.6 Mpa. The heavy hammer which behind of the body cover from the vibration adjusts the swing of the vibrator, make the swing and heavy hammer in a direct ratio .In order to make the vibration discharge more and thoroughly, need according to the viscosity of filter residue ,character to regulate the swing and frequency of vibrator.

A filter with vibrator , there is a special locking device on the screen disk of the filter tank, The locking device stretch out of the filter tank and install vibrator,, the back and forth of the vibrator delive rto the screen , making to attach residue of the filter screen to shed off.

e. Hydraulic station mainly consists of oil cylinder, oil pump, motor, piping and various piping control fittings. Its function is to control the actuation of oil cylinder, to lock or release the lock-up ring, and enable the ed plate pullout device to pull out or insert the filter screen. The mechanism diagram of the hydraulic system is shown in Fig. 6 (refer to page 7), the set pressure for relief valve is 3~5 MPa, and the pressure for main oil circuit is set at 6~10 MPa, in the oil tank the N46 friction free hydraulic oil is employed.

2. The cleaning of filter screen 

a. Chemical treatment method

Put the filter screen in a clean pool to clean, the cleaning liquid shall be 10~15% NaOH solution (or other liquid which has no corrosive effect to the screen), the temperature shall be 50~60 centigrade, the cleaning time shall not be more than 3 hours, please note that do not use hydrochloric acids or detergent generating free ions, because they may seriously corrode the screen

b. Mechanic cleaning method

Clean the screen with pressurized water spray (6~8 MPa), place the screen vertically on the wooden plant, the exit surface shall be downward, the nozzle of pressurized water shall be at 45 degree to the plane of screen

4. Selection and application of diatomaceous earth, the filter aid

Diatomaceous earth is like powder, the major chemical composition is silicon dioxide, it has excellent chemical stability, shall not contaminate the liquid to be filtered. It can be applied in the filtration of any liquid except concentrated alkali. The sound diatomaceous earth as a filter aid can form solid grid structure filter cake with porosity rate up to 85~90% The filter cake of this structure can intercept the minute particle or colloid impurities over the grid frame, in general it can remove the impurity particles of 0.1~1 micron. The filter cake thus formed is basically not compactable, under certain pressure, it shall keep its porous status which is relatively loose, therefore a higher filtration speed can be maintained and meet the demand for filter.

5. Maintenance

5.1  Before the beginning of each shift, please check whether the hydraulic cylinder, lock-up ring and end-plate pullout device are flexible and operate smoothly, there shall not be any seizure or locking. When enclosing the filter tank, only after the lock-up ring is completely locked (the pressure of main oil circuit shall be up to 5~8 MPa) can the handle on the hydraulic station be moved from locking up position to stop status, so as to ensure the positive sealing at the interface of cover and tank body. The main gasket between the tank cover and tank body is of lip style sealing; make sure there is no alien matter in the opening of lip before each locking

5.2 In the cleaning process, if the screen is damaged due to carelessness, then silver brazing can be sued to patch the damaged place, and the repaired screen can still be used.

5.3 As per actual application, after each cleaning of screen, one inspection shall be conducted for the “O” ring at the bottom of screen plate, if any damaged is discovered then replace it timely

5.4 The oil mister prepared for the vibrator shall be topped up with oil each month, to ensure the normal lubrication of vibrator

5.5 Pay attention to the lubrication of moving parts of hydraulic cylinder and roller device. The piston of hydraulic cylinder shall be protected and avoid the entry of dust and impurity into cylinder which may abrade the piston and damage it.

5.6 Ion case of long term idleness of the machine, please clean up the unit, to keep the material from molding and corroding the parts. Special attention shall be paid to the filter screen.
