Types Of Decanters
There are several types of decanter centrifuges currently utilized in the industry, the most widely recognized are vertical, horizontal and conveyor centrifuges. The principle behind a decanter centrifuge is based on the theory of gravitational separation. For example, if you fill a vessel with a mixture of mud and water, over time the weight of the mud will cause it to settle down at the base of the vessel. With the mud congealed at the bottom, the water will be forced upwards, creating a clear separation between the two.

In a sewage plant, what is the process of using a spiral settling centrifuge for desliming?
In sewage treatment plant, in the treatment of activated sludge, the whole process of using spiral settling centrifuge is: through the high-speed rotating drum, to drive the high-speed rotation of sludge, and then generate centrifugal force, so that the solid particles in the sludge settlement is accelerated, and concentrated on the drum wall. Then, through the spiral, the mud cake is scraped to the small end of the drum, so that it can be discharged, thus completing the mud removal work.
What is the advantage of decanter centrifuge to treat the waste water?

The 3-phase decanter separates which contains oil into an oil phase, solids and virtually oilfree waste water. Because of its high dry matter, the solids can be recycled relatively easily.
In addition, the solids concentration in the waste water is lower than would be the case if nozzle separators are used in conventional process.

Q:The paper mill sewage is treated with a horizontal screw centrifuge. It is found that there is a little bit more slag and blockage. How to deal with it?
A:How to judge that the horizontal spiral centrifuge has a little more slag? Is it compared with the same technical parameters before? Or did you change another decanter centrifuge or add too much medicine? Increasing the precision of machine parameters or the dosage of reagents both can bring about more slag discharging. In short, the smaller suspended solids that were previously hidden in the sewage are also separated by centrifugation. If the pretreatment is not done well, it can also increase the solid content of the fluid.
We have 2 solutions to solve the condition of more slag. One is to do a good job of pretreatment to reduce the solid content of the fluid, and the other is to adjust the differential speed of the spiral sweeping paddle of the horizontal screw centrifuge to make the pushing more smooth. We use the juneng horizontal spiral centrifuge, which is very stable in performance. After more than two years of use, there is no sudden change in performance.
